tradeswomen.biz is the easiest way for women working in industries typically dominated by men—such as plumbers, decorators and builders—to get an online identity and to advertise their services for free.

There are currently no websites aimed at women who are working in male–dominated industries. These women have an important role to perform in their industries; if you need a female plumber to work in the female changing rooms in a gym, or to work in a convent, then tradeswomen is an essential tool.

Created and developed by Edd Couchman, tradeswomen is a final–year project for Brunel University’s Multimedia Technology and Design (BSc) degree. It is a database–driven website built in PHP with Javascript additions for AJAX and increased usability.
